Why You Might Be Stuck.

I’ve read that you can catch a raccoon 🦝 by putting a shiny object at the bottom of a trap made from a heavy vessel with a narrow opening.
The raccoon will stick his arm into the hole and latch his fingers around the shiny object. The opening of the vessel is made just wide enough so that the raccoon can stick his nimble paw IN, but not wide enough to allow his clenching fist to come OUT - so he’s stuck.

Interestingly, he can easily be free if he lets go of the shiny object - but he won’t. Too stubborn.

This reminds me of the famous Einstein quote, “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” 🤔

We CAN solve our own problems, we’re often just too innocently stubborn or oblivious to look for a new way of thinking, doing, or acting.
